Our Largest Cantilever Gate Install with an 8 Meter CCTV Pole

This project saw our team complete our largest cantilever gate installation to date. In addition, we installed an 8-metre CCTV pole to provide comprehensive surveillance coverage across the entire site entrance.

Cantilever gates are the preferred choice for wide commercial entrances. Unlike conventional sliding gates, they do not require ground tracks that can become blocked by debris, snow, or uneven surfaces. Instead, a cantilever gate is suspended above the ground, so it operates smoothly regardless of conditions underfoot. As a result, this type of gate is particularly well suited to construction sites, industrial yards, and rural commercial properties.

The scale of this installation required careful structural planning. Specifically, the gate needed to span a wide entrance while maintaining smooth, reliable operation under daily use. Therefore, our engineers worked closely with the client to ensure the foundation, motor, and automation were all specified correctly for the weight and span involved.

To complement the gate, we also installed an 8-metre CCTV pole at the entrance. The height gives cameras an elevated vantage point that covers the gate approach, the entrance itself, and a wide area of the surrounding perimeter. Consequently, this combination of physical access control and visual surveillance provides a strong deterrent. Moreover, it ensures that all vehicle movements are recorded in clear detail.
