ADP is celebrating after one of its newest recruits won a national award from the British Security Industry Association. Chrissy Wilcox, who joined ADP Security Systems Ltd in 2008, has won the national 'Best Newcomer' award in the BSIA's Annual Security Officer Awards 2009.

Chrissy was presented with her award by Admiral the Lord West of Spithead, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State responsible for security at the Home Office, at the Association's annual luncheon on 15th July at the London Hilton, Park Lane. Keirn Bush, ADP business manager and Keren Burney, ADP's PR consultant, accompanied Chrissy and her partner, Kevin Cole-Wilkin to the glittering event in London.

Although new to the industry, Chrissy, 24, has proven herself extremely capable, and won the award for the great contribution she has made to the client site, Tunsgate Square Shopping Centre, Guildford, in her first year in the industry; and for her commitment to the Guildsafe scheme which involves sharing information and best practice across a network of security teams in the town.

Keirn Bush, business manager for ADP at Bedford Road in Petersfield, who helped to train Chrissy said: "Chrissy has a very bubbly personality and is willing to go the extra mile. She has demonstrated this by not only getting involved in the Guildsafe scheme, but undertaking further training in self-defence and radio communication off her own bat. She is an excellent security officer and no job is too much trouble for her."

Award winner Chrissy Wilcox comments: "I am really honoured to have gone on from the regional phase of the awards to win a national award. Personally it is a great achievement as I have only been in the industry for a year. Thanks to ADP and to the Centre Manager, Nicola Mendelssohn for their help in my career so far."
