In the early hours of Saturday morning, 1^st March, a mobile patrol by local firm ADP Security Systems, caught three robbers red-handed as they attempted to remove lead from the roof of a building in Havant. Due to the security officer's intervention the gang of three were stopped in their tracks and no lead was taken.

Two weeks previously, thieves had taken 30,000 worth of lead from the premises, which had not been secured at the time. The business owners needed a security solution quickly and saw fit to bring in ADP's security team. The security officer who prevented the theft gave chase and provided a full report and description to the Police. As a consequence of the second attempted robbery, the company has now upgraded its security measures to prevent further incidents.
