ADP Security Systems Ltd, a Hampshire-based manned guarding and security solutions provider, was announced as a runner-up at the 2007 Security Excellence Awards under the category: "Best Security Guarding Company".

David Preston, director of ADP said: "We were proud to be considered for this prestigious award which gives recognition to our company's achievements in a highly competitive industry. It is a fact that the number of security businesses has fallen by about one third to 2000, since the Approved Contractor Scheme came into force in Spring 2006. Only 380 currently have Approved Contractor status. ADP is determined to be one of the survivors and we shall continue to focus on customer service and employee satisfaction in the coming years."

ADP was one of the first to achieve Approved Contractor Status with the Security Industry Authority. As well as being ISO registered, it has Investors in People accreditation and is a member of the British Security Industry Association.
