Security company digs in to weather industry storm
7/9/2005
Leading Hampshire-based security provider, ADP Security Systems, has joined the British Security Industry Association, the professional trade association for the security industry in the UK.
ADP’s director, Dave Preston, explained the reasons for joining: “This is part of ADP’s plan to be one of the survivors of the new legislative measures introduced by the Government. The whole of the security industry is going through a period of change and we feel that it is best that the industry has one voice with which to reply. We know that the BSIA operates to the highest standards, as we do ourselves, and have always supported their aims and objectives.”
David Loble, business development manager at ADP, added: “The industry prophets are all saying that the number of guarding companies will reduce dramatically as the Security Industry Authority regulations and the need for licensing begins to bite. The number of companies in the industry could even fall from about 4,000 currently to about 200 in four to five years’ time. We are committed to meeting the new regulations, through training and continual improvement of our core services.”
BSIA media & public relations manager, Kay Wright, commented: “ADP Security Systems Ltd has shown a real commitment to standards in joining the British Security Industry Association. We have strict criteria for membership and companies have to illustrate compliance with relevant British and European standards, as well as operating in an ethical manner and with appropriate insurance. In addition, our members are able to keep fully up to date with all the latest developments in the industry and play their part in helping to shape its future.”
ADP now secures over 80 sites in Hampshire and the surrounding counties, and is working towards further quality accreditations such as Investors in People. The company also works with specialist partners in facilities management, CCTV and alarm installation.
